Colour management is the process whereby we control the consistency of colours in order to ensure that the image remains the same throughout subsequent applications. Through such colour management, we are able to produce a repeatable and predictable true colour reproduction of images and graphics, in order to deliver a consistent look to end-product users.
Quality starts before the first scan is made, with rigorous
calibration of every device within Colourscan to international
standards, such as ICC (International Colour Consortium), to
ensure consistency and reliability of colour.
We harness precise logarithm software to manage the ink profile
of images during plate making and printing, so that customers
can expect the final image to be exactly as it is seen in the
proof, whether the image is printed in our facilities or at
other printers.
Depending on the job requirements, we have an array of proofing
processes and technology to create different types of proofs,
including:-
As Digital Contract Proofs painstakingly simulate each process
and specification of the actual print run, including the paper
and ink used, they accurately achieve the vivid spectrum of
colours required of the final product.
Using high speed, high resolution thermal plate setters, digital
data are imaged directly onto the printing plate without any
intermediary film, delivering precise registration and accurate,
quality images, while increasing productivity and cost efficiency.
Created by imaging digital data onto the actual set of films
used for the print process, CTF proofs show true colour quality
and image trapping, and represent how a print order will look
when it comes out of the press. Within the publishing industry,
these contract quality proofs have long served as the benchmark
for printers, publishers and designers.
